01Carefully Selected
We choose Thuya for grain, structure, fragrance and suitability for the intended piece.
Inside our workshop, rare Moroccan Thuya is selected, shaped and finished by hand into pieces made to carry character for generations.
Thuya Heritage is rooted in the belief that rare Moroccan Thuya should be shaped with respect for the material itself. We work with its grain, fragrance, density and natural irregularities rather than trying to erase them.
Every piece begins with observation. The wood tells us how it wants to be cut, shaped and finished. From there, experience, hand tools and patient craftsmanship turn raw Thuya into an object intended to be used, admired and passed on.
We do not see Thuya as a neutral material. Each section of wood carries a different pattern, tone and character. That individuality is what guides the design.
The goal is not repetition. The goal is to reveal what makes each piece worth keeping. A box, table, door or decorative object becomes more than its function when the grain, handwork and proportion are allowed to speak.

01We choose Thuya for grain, structure, fragrance and suitability for the intended piece.
02Cutting, carving and assembly are guided by touch, proportion and artisan judgment.
03Sanding and finishing uncover the depth, warmth and natural glow hidden in the grain.
04The finished piece leaves the workshop as an object meant to live beautifully for years.
Thuya is prized for its expressive grain, warm color and naturally aromatic character. Its figure can move from subtle swirls to dramatic burl-like patterns, making every finished surface visually distinct.
A clean edge, a balanced proportion, a carved line and a polished surface all come from judgment built over time. That human involvement is what gives handcrafted work its quiet precision.
